most girls tend to be on diet in order to be really thin for a purpose which I myself do not understand. I mean I myself control my food but I do not want to really skinny. I think girls who have a bit of skin looks hotter than those who are skinny. Feel free to agree or dis agree with me

You sound like me...see my question. I have been told by many males, even ones that I don't know, that they would prefer a female with some meat on their bones and curves over bony and nothing to hold on to. I totally agree with you and what's worse is, it's teenagers trying to look like these stick thin supermodels...however, if you look at some of them now, they are starting to tone up more and add a little more to their frames. You got my thumbs up!

I totally agree. I blame so called role models, such as Paris Hilton and Nicole Richie. But now Nicole Richie is clearly very unwell, I think girls might start to think twice about what they are doing to their bodies. I honestly believe all this dieting so young, has stunted so many young girls' growth, so they never develop properly. It isn't until they reach about age 20, that they truly regret it. It's almost as though girls tend to think if you are not skinny, then you are fat. That is just ridiculous. There is such thing as a healthy, ideal weight! HTH : )

I've gotta agree with u.most girls now look like they're suffering from anorexia.but why are they pushed to the limits?because of fashion.as u realise,the in thing now is to wear figure hugging clothes and therefore,wash-board stomachs and thin arms are an "essential" asset u must have.to top it off,capris are also the in-thing now.so,no elephantic thighs and thin calves.so u c,it's fashion that shapes the figure of girls.if one day,it is in to wear clothes that r baggy,i do not think there will be an exagerated want to be thin from the ladies.

I have been both and I love being extra skinny, even boney. I can wear more styles of clothes plus when I take my size 2 jeans out of the dryer they always make me say "ahh, look how tiny my butt is." "Look how cute my tiny little shorts are. Yeah, I know, here comes the thumbs down. But like I said, I've been both and I can never get enough of hearing "you are so skinny!!" Nicest compliment ever heard.

I agree and it is because they have terrible role-models portrayed by the media as attractive such as Nicole Richie, Paris Hilton and Lindsay Lohan.

they all want to look like what u see on t.v. and what u see on t.v. is very very skinny, so the same thing in the magazines.
the right weight to be is what is healthy for you, not everyone else.
it depends on ur body type, your frame and ur size and height.
people don't realize that what looks good in the photos and on tv, does not look good in person, in real life.
on tv and in photos, the camera adds weight so u have to be very skinny in order to compensate, but in real life that sometimes looks sickly or very very odd.
but honestly, clothing looks better on slim bodies, but naked slim bodies does not always look good, sometimes curves do, u just have to find a good balance for you.

Agreeing with you. I am not fat but not skinny. My rump is on the large side but my bf wouldent have it any other way. If yu buy all the trashy mags and read them cover to cover and have no other perspective on your life its bound to rub off.

I agree with you and i wish everyone didn't mind if girls were fat or skinny but if a girl is fat then they get picked on allot so its hard for them.
