The classic style (bun with two sticks) has been mentioned several times... but you do have other options if you'd like to be creative. Use the Japanese-style tapered, lacquered chopsticks in black or red, by the way - not the Chinese heavy wooden ones or the Korean slim metal ones!

Try catching all the hair (layers and all) in a hairnet - not one of those wispy fast-food worker ones, but a nicely-styled thicker mesh. Weave two chopsticks through the mesh so that they cross, one from either side of the head.

Here's an idea for variety: Take a good-quality artificial flower - something suitably Asian, in a colour that will work well with your hair and outfit. Pull the plastic stem out of the flower head, or cut it off. Stick a large hatpin, or flathead tack, through the top of the head (try to hide it under a petal or two) and into the top of the chopstick firmly. A small fine nail will also work, if you've got a clamp to hold the chopstick while you drive it in. Hot glue alone will probably come loose from the slick lacquer - but epoxy would work. Now poke your decorated chopstick into your tresses and enjoy the effect! A spray of flowers that 'dangle' from the top of the stick can also be very effective.

Hope you enjoy!

Because your hair is layered you have to take the top half which is shorter and put it up in a bun and put the chopsticks in either side. Then take the bottom half and also put it up in a bun going in the same direction of the other bun so it blends and put chopsticks in either side. When you have finished you should have 4 chopsticks in your head going in a crisscross angle.I hope it ends up being pretty 4 you:).

First you get what you can of your hair into a bun then bobby pin the hairs that won't go up. Then stick the chopsticks in the bun closer to the back of you head.

pull your hair back, and twist it, or pin it into something that resembles some sort of updobun
then place the chopsticks through the bun/updo...usually one goes one way, then cross the other one over that
hope it looks cute!

you may desire to place it in 2 buns from the two components of your head and stick chopsticks on the two components. i've got performed it in the previous and that i've got won rather some comments. it works too and it fairly is lovable.
