NIghtsweats are a common symptom of a variety of illnesses like viral infections, TB, HIV, and a symptom of menopause. I've never heard nightsweats associated with MS tho.

Sorry to hear about your condition! That definately sucks!
Nightsweats could be a number of things from: an infection, a fever, or even an age factor!
I am not a doctor...so I couldn't give a definate answer to this question?
But I do know (one thing)....if someone told me I had MS... Man I'd be a mess and would be sweating at night too!
But definately tell your doc about that one!

At first when I started taking the daily shots I would wake up soaked with sweat, but then I changed my time of taking my shots I take them in the morning before work now and I haven't had any problems with night sweats. It maybe associated with something else depends on your health history and your age.

I also have MS. Unfortunately my night sweats are from menopause, MS, and Betaseron injections. Anyway, that is what the doctors tell me. I have a fan that hits on me all night long plus I take Elavil that helps me sleep and I do sleep right through them now.

Possible reaction to meds you may be taking. I have this annoyance...for your comfort use light "breathable" bedding, such as cotton. Other fabrics can trap moisture and really make things miserable. Anti-depressants are notorious for this....
