Yes "Opioid Analgesics, Morphine comes either intravenous or intramascular 2 to 3 hours. Or by mouth 3 to 4 hours. Sustained relese 8 to 12 hours. Starts to work very quickly. Oral form is very effective for cancer pain.
I am sure you are aware that there are many other types of "Opiod Analgesics".
Codeine, by mouth, Meperidine my intravenous or intramuscular or by mouth. Methadone by mouth, Propoxphene by mouth, Levorphanol by IV, IM, or by mouth, Hydromorphone IV, IM , my mouth or Rectal suppository, Oxycodone by mouth and Pentazocine by mouth.

I never fail to be amazed at the people that come on here looking for advice on abusing drugs. Now this, abusing morphine is in another class completely. It's hard to imagine a worse decision. I ran on plenty of ODs when I was a medic. Some made it, many didn't. ALL of their lives were trashed as a result. Grow up and live a healthy life.

i want to say yes bc my ex boyfriend was a druggie and he would get so doped up on morphine pills it wasn't cool.

It comes in a pill or liquid. Pills are either immediate release or sustained release. They come in different dosages.

Yes, I believe it's called MS Contin. The patch (as far as I know) is a close cousin called fentanyl. (usually sold under the name Duragesic.)
If you're asking because you're thinking of trying it for recreation...don't -- you'll be throwing up for days.

Yes it does. It can be prescribed for heart attack patients, for those with chronic pain or for palliative care in terminal cancer.
