You were trying to preach the word to someone that's not Christian (like you always so annoyingly do) and that person punched you in the face and told you to die? Would you still love them and try to help them find Jesus? Or would you get mad? What if they repeatedly punched you in the face for not leaving them alone? Would you still preach Jesus' love to them? What if they kicked you in your stomach? Would you be sitting there coughing up blood and telling them that Jesus was the Lord and saviour? Just wondering. I'm guessing you all would.

I'm not pushy. If they say drop it I do and just pray for them. But if I got punched... I'd still love them and pray for them, yes.

Actually, I remember one time when I had a friendship with an Orthodox Jew that had questions about whether Jesus was the Messiah. I had given him the proof through Biblical passages and historical accounts. He was very close to taking the truth. Then, some Bible thumpers met him and almost beat him up for not taking their witnessing. That was the end of my conversion. He went back to being a Jew.

I agree with you that this type of witnessing is over the edge and annoying. I believe that Christians should learn how to make friends with non-Christians and talk about it over coffee or something. This "in your face" witnessing is just too, too much. If the person does not want it, don't push them...God gives them the right to chose.

If it had been me, I believe that the punching and kicking would have never occurred. But if it did, I would just walk away and consider it a loss.

When Jesus said to 'turn the other cheek' he meant this from insult, not from injury. He did not mean for his people to stand there and get the crud beat out of them. If a person said they are not interested , then a christian is to say " OK, thank you kindly for your time!" and walk away, leaving the dust off their feet there at the step. ( figuratively speaking...) Now if that person were to jump the christian, that christian is under no obligation to sit there and get the crud beat out of them by turning one cheek and then the other and so forth. No! He can fight back- in self defense, never as the aggressor. Once the christian can leave the situation safely, he is to do so. Jesus didn't want his followers to be easy marks for just anyone to pound on just because people hated 'em!! But he did want them to have a repurtation as peace LOVERS. So they would never start something, but they could defend themselves, to a point. They would never want to take a life.

Is that clear?

Are you always so annoying? I've yet to be impressed by the antics of an atheist. Seems all they do is ask stupid questions and mock other people's beliefs.

Do you get mad at people for having faith? Do you beat them up? Do you repeatedly punch them in the face and kick them in the stomach until they cough up blood?

Just wondering. I bet you do.

I wouldn't be pushing the word on them in the first place. I'd tell them but if they aren't ready to hear it then I'd leave it at that. Of course, if they did happen to punch me, they'd be getting punched back, then I would yell "Jesus loves you" while laughing at them for getting mad in the first place.
Than go home and ask for forgiveness in case there was actually a better way to handle the situation :)

I'm not the preachy sort. If someone want's to discuss it or debate the topic of religion then that's one thing, but I don't go out and preach to total strangers. That seems a bit too forceful on my part in my opinion. Some people would continue to love that person if they beat on them, not because they're stupid, but because that agggrssor is ignorant. I don't mean ignorant of God's love. If one chooses not to believe then that's their business. I mean ignorant of certain inalienable rights to freedom of speech and religion. If you don't believe in God then you can at least believe in certain inalienable human rights. By the way. If some did punch me I'd break his arm and stomp him into the ground. It may not seem Christian like but I do have a right to defend myself legally and morally. I say morally because the other guy would have attacked me for no other reason than because he was a jerk who didn't like me. It would serve him right to get stomped for treating people who only want to give their views voice like that.

I'd probably be so shocked I wouldn't know what to say, then I'd probably start crying, 'cause it would probably have hurt.

I love the Lord and the Word, but something this violent would probably traumatize me. At least until the bandages came off, then I'd go back to talkin' about Jesus.

First of all, I don't do it annoyingly, I don't push, I do it the way John does it in the Bible, I make adjustments once I see the way they act, I would be open and adjust to around their level to be able to chat, and take it from there.

If that would happen, I'll turn to the other cheek, if this person hits that one, on my way out, I'll dust off my boots and go to the next town.

Wow that question is awesome! LOL, but seriously...

I honestly would (everything except the getting mad part), and I would be thinking to myself that's pretty cool. It would be pretty awesome actually. I wouldn't be loud or obnoxious about it, but rather quiet and nice, yet firm and uncompromising.

I actually like your question because while it seems seem like you (and others) would get your panties in a twist, I can smile and have peace, and not even be bothered at all. It really is awesome! I guess that's what happens when you're in love. (or in His love anyway).

Well, you have a lot of nerve to say "We all preach, and we're annoying". I'm a christian, and i do not do that, i too find it very annoying, next time, say "SOME", instead of "Christians", because it sounds rude and judgemental!

And as for your question: Yes, i would get mad, but i would still love them. But i would not continue to preach!

It is the Job of every True Christian to Present GOD's Plan of Salvation.

A punch in the face could be considered a REFUSAL.

Go find someone else to talk to-------------------
The job is done with the person with the fist.

Why get angry? The fist just took advantage of his or her FREE WILL.???
