well that is where your kidneys are and if it is a kidney problem the pain is more like a deep rooted pain that you cant seem to reach by touch, & in my own experience it didnt really go away but continued to have a underlying pain that seemd to come from deeper inside, like no matter how much I had someone rub my back they couldnt reach the pain to massage it, they werer rubbing right where hte pain was but they couldnt touch it...Id get it checked out ASAP!!! kidneys are nothign to mess with!! BEST OF LUCK!!!

It could be your kidneys or it could be a strain in your lower back try this simple test drinks lors of water a little gator ade and by lots in the next day take your body weight divideit by 1/2 and drink that many ounces of water no sodas or coffee or any thing else except a little gator ade if it gets better it was your kidneys if not it could be a pulled muscle in your back tru otc Myoflex and some dry heat for a hour or so and if there is improvement good if not see your dr o.k. gorbalizer

If the pain is in the soft sides of your back, that is where your kidneys are located and you may want to go to the doctor and get it checked out.
You would KNOW if you had a problem with your kidneys, however. You would probably be in a lot more pain than what you are describing.
I'm not sure what could be your problem, it may be referred pain from your coccyx, you may have damaged it.
Go to your doctor. That is the one sure fire way to find out what is wrong.

Pain is a signal that something is wrong. It could be as simple as gas or as complicated as the kidneys. Know what? Yes, you do...SEE A DOCTOR!
