This world teaching us to be out for ourselves. It's not quite the way we're supposed to be, in my eyes. I don't want to be what God hasn't desired.

I asked Jesus to save me, so why is it so hard to follow? I know I'm young and stupid, but when I compare myself to other Christians, I don't even feel like I look like one. I know I'm not supposed to compare myself to others, but I can't help but wonder who I really am...

I think you're worrying too much. How is a Christian supposed to look? You just offer your self and your life to God, and let HIM work in you. If you don't feel as "clean" as other Christians, welcome to the club. But I know a lot of "clean" Christians who are being deceived, or who are chasing prosperity and healing and ignoring the entire rest of the bible!

God never asked you to compare yourself to others. And he never asked to you be like anyone but HIM. Seems impossible, right? The fact that you WANT to be what God desires IS WHAT HE DESIRES!

There are only two things you must do to get "clean" - and that is to pray daily, confessing your sins and asking for help, and to read God's Word - for you are washed by the water of the Word (Ephesians 5:26). Self-help tricks and trys won't work - having a personal coach won't work. Staying in the Word of God and staying in communion (contact through prayer and through the study of God's Word) with God are what he expects. Fellowship with other believers when you can, and this doesn't mean you always have to go to church - sometimes small groups can have great anointing. I highly recommend that you buy an Authorized Version (a King James Bible) and start reading it, asking and believing that God himself will teach you and show you what he wants you to know. God bless you!

I think the world teaches many things. It is what you listen to that counts. Be what you want to be. Don't let others keep you from it, and try not to blame others or the world for letting things come between you and God. Your choice and what you do is what matters in the end, and only you can choose.

If you are concerned that you aren't doing what is right in the eyes of God, then you are feeling His "call." He is working on your conscience, telling you it's time to to come home! Friend, it's later than it has ever been! You need to get into the Word...it's about your eternity in hell's kitchen or in His glorious loving arms...your decision!

As Christians we know we are not of the world, so how can we be out for ourselves...sounds like you have conviction going on--choose which you will follow and be true.Ask forgiveness, repent and witness.

If you do not find your behavior wrong, then it isn't. It's up to you whether or not you want to factor in your preconceptions about the desires of deities into that.

Father in Heaven, holy is your name. Your kingdom come. Your will be done in ME, as it is in heaven. Give ME this day MY daily bread. And forgive ME MY sin, as I forgive those who sin against ME. Lead ME not into temptation, but deliver ME from the evil one: For thine is the kingdom, and the power, and the Glory, forever. Amen
