On Saturday I got bit by something on the beach (I think it was a jellyfish). After washing it and looking at it, it looked like a bee sting (looked like a target, a tiny red circle encircled by a white circle). The pain went away in like 10-15 minutes. The next day it was fine (Sunday). Today I woke up and half of the bottom of my foot was swollen. Is that a typcial reaction from a jellyfish sting? Is this a spider or mosquito bite? Is there anything to make the swelling go down? Let me know what you think and what I should do. Thanks.

Cold compresses to reduce swelling and heat...NSAIDs will also help for this, Elevate it if its really swollen. If it really bothers you or the wound starts to increase in diameter, see your dr. He will prob treat it as a spider bite, regardless of what it is and give you some potent cortisone cream. Best of luck to ya.

Why didn't you go to the hospital? Jellyfish stings are supposed to be BAD. Just go to the hospital, before you lose your leg or something.

What i've was 2 pour vinegar over the wound...however, the best advise will be to go consult a medical physican...you might be suffering from an allegic reaction.

Cheers......

This is sick but some where I heard if you piss on it it will help it

however I do not support that theory and do not recommend you try that

If you decide to try that I will not be held responsible for it
