If he is not sick, he knows what he is doing. A healthy baby will not deliberately go hungry, so he must not be hungry.
Do keep an eye on him. Note the color of his bowel movement also the texture. And note if he wets his diaper as much as usual, except for that missing bottler. As long as he is healthy not eating is nothing to worry about.
If you note a fever or bad bowel movement, then you need to take him to the doctor. Otherwise, as I said, he probably knows what he is doing.

It doesn't sound like he's getting enough formula to begin with, by that age he should be taking 8 oz bottles three times a day or so, in between feedings of solid food.
But to answer your question, if he isn't hungry before bed than don't feed him! Try giving him his dinners earlier, then by bedtime he may be ready for a bottle. Otherwise, just suck it up when he wakes up during the night. Ah, the blessings of parenthood...

You didn't say how much your baby weighs but if you want him to drink 6 oz of formula before he goes to bed then I would say you need to feed him less dinner. Try it for a short while and see if it makes a difference. I know from experience that a child will not eat if he is full. Mom of five and grand mom of almost 15.

Have you told his doctor how he's eating... or how much?
When our daughter was 6 months old, her pediatrician told us that she should be taking in 24 ounces of formula a day in addition to her solids (at that time, rice cereal for breakfast with a bottle, a stage 1 jar of veggies and a bottle for lunch and another bottle for supper).
How about feeding him when he wakes up as opposed to when he is about ready for bed? By the time you're giving him his last bottle, he may just be too tired to take it.

First I am worried about how much formula he is getting. Until the age of 1 babies are supposed to get 24 oz minimum a day! Try less solids and a bit more formula. Formula/ breastmilk comes first THEN solids. Please make sure you get him more formula.
Try giving him his bottle an hour before bedtime, maybe that would help.

I have had 3 kids ,, the child is not hungry , where this may be an inconvience for you , if you have to get up during the night to feed baby , it's rough especially if you work days.. but NEVER force a child to eat they'll eat when they r hungry,, I eat when I'm hungry , and I won't if I'm not . Don't get any more simple than that. I'm sure the child will get back on track, give it some time.

there is no such thing as a set schedule with babies under the age of 2.
he is changing, and he may not require any feeding before bed now.
don't force him, baby's let u know exactly what they need if u can just watch and listen.
if he wakes in the middle of the night and wants a night feeding, then you give him one!!! they do not eat like adults--- they grow every day so you cannot change him just so u can sleep thru the night, that is not how it works.

He may just be getting to full on other foods or possibly teething . My daughter did that unfortunatly she lasted about a month after being on a schedule then she didnt want to eat and started fussing and wanting fed through the night I think her problem was teething cause she has gotten back into her schedule no problem now .

I would suggest not to give such a big dinner, or you may add banana or apple baby cereal to the dinner bottle. At 6 months, that is perfectly safe.

depends on what time he is getting his dinner - my grandaughter usually has her #2 dinner about 5, may take a bottle, then in bed by 7 - sleeps through the night (she's 10 mo)
