The fatal dose for valium is significantly higher than an entire bottle of valium. But it can cause other problems. If it has been less than 1 hour, get out some peroxide and give him 1 table spoon for every 10 lbs of body weight. It will induce vomiting. You probably should take him to a vet to make sure everything is ok. While that dose is no where near fatal (unless he's alergic to diazepam) it could cause other problems.
I'm going to catch hell for saying this, but the facts are the facts, your dog is not going to die from 5 valiums, even the big ones... he's going to be sedated for a while... if you stay with him (make him vomit if it's under 1 hour) and make sure he's breathing he'll be fine in the morning but might be a little hung over.
Er.... take him to the vet just in case ;-)

Why did you post this and wait for answers you should be on the way to an animal hospital. This is way some people shouln't have pets.

dogs are like babies you should have never left stuff like that out.call vet try to make dog throw up.
