I posted a serious question, and asked nicely that people only answer to my question and not try to convert and preach to me. Then I get about 20 answers, not related to my question that told me to love Jesus. Why do Christians do this??? What is your problem? I am NOT Christian, and don't want to be. Can't you just leave others alone????????

I did not ask Christians questions! I asked PEOPLE. Are you saying all people are Christians? I'm not an Atheist either.

Ok, not all Christians are this way, but it seems like all the ones I encounter are.
Also, I believe there is a God, and I think many religions have good points, but I don't feel the need to belong to one. And to the person who said Christians would whine if someone tried to convert them.. that's probably 100% true.

Because some people feel compelled to "sell" their religion. You should've edited and made a comment that you didn't want preaching and similar type answers. I think its annoying when anybody pushes their beliefs on others, there are ways to spread your "inner joy" without being overbearing.
As to your question that you are referring to... you need to decide if you believe in the concept of heaven and hell. If you have more of a scientific view of things (believing what can be proven), then it wouldn't matter unless the dead have come to visit you lately.
I understand your complaint, and I'd have to agree with you completely! Sometimes religion is just taken way too seriously and people don't realize that goodness can be acheived without toting a Bible around! Just continue to be a good person and hopefully others will notice and treat you likewise!

I Checked your last question about Agnostics getting together for worship or knowledge or whatever. There were 26 answers. 5 were trying to tell you about Jesus anyway against your wishes. 3 of the five were mild and meekly suggested that you may not be satisfied with the situation at a Unitarian church and might try something different.
This does not look like "20 answers, not related to the question" In fact the great majority of your answers were from other Agnostics or people who simply answered with a suggestion that was right along the lines of what you asked.
Look again and be a little more objective this time. Then pick a winner and get some rest. You sound over stressed.

OK I did not even answer your last question, but I am a Christian. If you do not want to be a Christian that is your choice. I do not force my beliefs on people and I expect the same in return. Some Christians are to overeager to convert people. I am sorry for your bad experience. Take care.

I come from a Jewish background, but I converted to Christianity when I got married, but this was really just a technicality. Basically, I believe in God in general, and that God focuses on how we live our lives instead of judging us based on what religion we're a part of. This is really what I've always believed in.

Leaving other people alone would just be way too easy :P It's a shame that a religion that is supposed to be loving and tolerant has so many followers that are just the opposite. Whatever happened to 'Judge not, lest ye be judged' ? People tend to take what they want from the Bible and ignore the rest.

You should be Christian to understand this. Not being offensive but it literally means that you may not have Jesus in your life and they do not want you to miss out on such a great opuurtunity such as this.

Being a Christian, this is a dilemma we face. We are called to love the people of the world, and because of this, we are also called to preach the gospel. However, many people reject God. Sometimes angrily or violently. It looks like we're being rude and arrogant, but really we're doing it out of love. So... cut us some slack? We're sinners too. A lot of times hypocrites, too. It really makes me sad how imperfect we are.
To summarize, we're trying to love you... it doesn't always happen that way, but it's the goal. Please, if you won't consider God, reject us politely.

I never compared you to Satan. I was trying to get you to understand that just believing in God won't save you from Hell!
You are a very unhappy, hateful person and that's because you have never experienced the love of God through a personal relationship with Jesus Christ. God is trying to reach out to you through the Christians whom you claim are "preaching" to you. Why do resist His Love? I know how miserable you are. I usta be just like you. Thank God for His Mercy, Grace and Love. May you eventually find the Peace you so desperately seek! Try Jesus. There is no Hope outside of Him!
BTW, Chemistry proves the Truth of God's Word and that Evolution could NEVER be a fact.
Your comments on my question show how ignorant and young and immature you are when it comes to the Spiritual and Science. You desperately need Jesus to change your heart.
