You have two choices. You can continue nursing until she is a year or you can feed her formula. Solid foods are meant to be supplementary until the after the first year of age. If you start feeding her a bunch of solids and stop breastfeeding you are putting her health at risk. If she has already started to eat some solids that is fine but they are not meant to be her main source of nutrients at this time because she is not able to fully digest them at this age. Formula or breast milk is the primary source of nutrition for a baby up until age one, period. You have gone 8 months already so we are only talking about 4 more months. If you absolutely cannot think about nursing her that much longer than keep trying different formulas until she finds one she likes. But don't take my word for it, this is a quote from Dr. Sears website he is a leading pediatrician.
"Consider solid foods an addition to, not a substitute for, breast milk or formula, which are more nutritionally balanced than any solid food. This food fact is especially important for breastfeeding babies. For a breastfeeding baby, it's best to start solids slowly, so that they don't become a substitute for the more nutritious breast milk."

At eight months your baby should be mostly fed solid foods from a jar or the table. Offer juices and perhaps a soy milk or lactose free milk. I have one friend whose baby couldn't tolerate any formula or soy products and is actually being fed on sports drinks under the doctor's advice!
Babies often reject what is not good for them. Ask your pediatrician.
Calcium is what we want from milk. You can offer lots of green leafy vegetables and foods rich in vitamins A and D to your baby to supplement the calcium and the vitamin D added to milk that helps us absorb the calcium.

Baby food is not enough for a baby if that is all she is getting. She needs those extra nutrients that breast milk or formula provide. I suggest talking with your pediatrician about what you can do. Do not give her cow's milk until she is at least 1 year old.

My daughter refused to eat anything that tasted to her like my milk out of a bottle, but she was fine with juice, etc., so I mixed some yogurt with the formula to change the taste, and she was fine with that. I gradually reduced the amount of yogurt until it was plain formula after a couple of weeks.

at this stage, and if they are a good eater and do not suffer from acid reflux or projectile vomitting, I started my son on whole milk at almost this age..he was a good eater from the start and I nursed him till he was 6 months old..the best formula..the dr is going to tell you to wait till they are a year old, but if they are eating some baby fruits and veggies, your child should be ok..just keep gas drops on hand in case he gets bloated to begin with...good luck!!
**also be careful of too much water...infants do not need alot...
and if you still want to use formula..I tried alot when I quit nursing..the best thing that I used was the carnation good start

Start feeding her BABY foods! Cereals, fruits, vegetables & meats!
Baby juices, Formula & water are good choices for liquids.

There are lots of different formulas, including soy based ones. Ask your pediatrician for sure.
DON"T GIVE REGULAR MILK
not until she's one, due to risk of anemia.
