This actually happened to me!

I was driving a CORVETTE from Hollywood Park racetrack. And it died! I had to walk a mile down Inglewood blvd (the bad part) in order to use a payphone to call a cab! It was broad daylight, so i wasn't that scared. I knew that if I acted scared, that would probably not be good!

But when the cab driver drove up, he wouldn't let me in at first. He wouldn't even roll down his window!

I banged on the window and yelled "dude, i am the one that called you! That's my car broken down back there. Does it look like I belong here???" .

Anyway, he let me in finally, and took me where i needed to go. The end of the matter is that i got my car fixed and nothing bad happened at all. Although it was very nerve wracking!

Well, personally I would be afraid to walk in any town for a mile now. I live in small town America and just the other day we had a drive by. This has never happened here. But get this, the people who did the drive by, lived in a neighboring town that was even smaller than ours. So basically yes I would be afraid. You have to be now to stay alive. People as a whole have just gotten too mean.

Daytime or Nightime?
It makes a difference you know.
I have to admit that at any time of day I would be apprehensive to say the least, but at night time I would like to have eyes installed in the back of my head before I set out for a phone.

Easiest solution is if you are going to South Central then take a charged cell phone with you.

If South Central LA is a high crime area, then I would be afraid.
