So I have been hanging out with this girl for the last month or so, and I thought that she was feeling the same way that I was. We hung out a few times, went to the fair, etc. At the bar I would always catch her looking at me, and if I was dancing or talking with another girl, she would always be right there after I was done to get my attention. Finally, I asked her out, and I got this response. "I am really not looking to date anybody right now, since I just got done with college I am wanting to jsut relax and have fun. I would like to get to know the real you without the games and acting different. Thanks for telling me how you feel and I respect that. The person that you are really impresses me." So, my question is did I read her signs wrong, was it the fact that I was hammered when I asked her, do I still have a shot? My plan is too give her some space, and give her a little attention, but not a signifigant amount.

i think you should play it exactly as you said you were gonna. also though, keep talking to other girls. if you really want to this girl, try to make her jealous. and if she says something to you, say that she already said no to you, and that you cant wait around for her. goodluck dude!

I think you hit the nail on the head.... she wants to have fun. She's wants your attention, but she doesn't want to be tied down. Give her some space, but ask her to dance every once in a while when you see her out. If you take it one step at a time you'll most likely get a lot farther than jumping into a friendship with her. And don't forget to turn her down once in a while, if she asks you to dance, keep her guessing and she'll keep coming back for more!

I think the question is, what do you really want. Im betting she said shes not looking to date anyone now because you were hammered. That was dumb, but we cant just blame it on the booze. Give her attention, stop giving other girls attention, you can relax and have fun at the same time.

sometimes girls do act like this...i did actually, i was in the same situation. The two of us did spend a period of time hanging out. During this time, i had been asking myself what i should do if he asked me...i thought i would accept him.....however, when he actually did, whole bunches of question came to my mind and i was confused....i said something similiar to her......i mean, the point is just to give her sometimes so she can balance it out...
if she want to be friends, why not....love is grown from friendship....everything will be fine...good luck!

Coming from a sexy, not too far out of college woman, wait and don't pursue her. She knows that if she wants you, now, she needs to come get you. She will if she's into you, even the slightest... You're plan sounds good. Maybe, it was your drinking that night, but she still knows that she can get you if she tries.... I promise. We women are powerful if we know how to use our powers.

Option one: She has been hurt in the past. She is afraid of getting into a new relationship. Hang out with her and see if she warms up to you.
Option two: She wants to use you. Maybe for sex, maybe for money, maybe something else. If you're cool with that and want to sleep with her, hang out with her and see where things lead. If you aren't cool with that, find someone else.

I am thinking that giving her space is a bad idea, I think you should keep trying and never quit. She probably deeply wants you but is to shy to tell you and is plain hard to get.

i would just be friends, so you can get to know eachother... you might have been reading her signs wrong,or maybe she just wants a onenightstand or something, it's really hard to tell, but good luck
