You sound like you are writing about my daughter, only she does not eat microwave meals...she doesn't really eat two meals either, but as for your friend, I don't think she sounds anorexic and not even like a pig. She sounds like she is just not hungry in the morning and does not like what the school serves. When she gets home from school she is probably famished! and has a meal then and then later eats whatever her mom may be cooking. Probably later even has a snack before bed. Sounds like she is trying to cram the 5 small healthy meals a day into two junkie ones! She needs help on learning how to eat the right things. I am not sure how you can even suggest to her what to eat. It's something that a lot of teens go through and have to learn on their own.

Well no i think it is just a bad diet. With anorexia, people wouldn't eat very much at all much less microwave meals or ice cream. If she came home and ate like half a bagel and that is it then I'd be worried. At least encourage your friend to eat something for breakfast. I don't care if it is a piece of pizza from last night it is something. Your friend just needs to get better eating habits. Thats all.

It does not sound like Anorexia, however, speaking from experience, does your friend excuse themself afterwards and then comes back a few minutes later with a possible flushed face? Your friend could be bulimic. It sounds also as if your friend, is waiting way to long to eat and then is literally starving and just grabs anything that is easy to eat. Does your friends parents know she eats this way? How long has she been doing this? Unfortunately eating disorders are very common with girls and it can start as early as 10 or 11. Keep an eye on her and don't be afraid to HELP her.

i use to do this when I was in school, and I never got skinny doing it. As long as she's eating whole meals sometime in the day it's not anorexia. A person who has anorexia usually eats very very little not matter what time of the day it is and exercises ALOT.

She may be trying to starve herself, and then 'breaks' at night when she gets home.
Perhaps not clinical anorexia, but definately disordered eating.
This is the exact reason why nutritionists say not to skip breakfast. You'd take in less calories eating a healthy breakfast and a good sandwich at lunch per day than you would skipping both and cramming the fatty insta-foods down your throat when you get home.

Maybe she does not have the money to buy meals at school or maybe she is self conscious about eating in front of people feeling that they will judge her for eating too much or too little. Try asking her about this she may just need someone to talk to about it and did not know how to start the conversation.

It does not sounds like anorexia, but does she vomit after she eats that food? If so, she might be bulmic.
Reguardless of whether or not she has an eating disorder, you should talk to her about her eating habits. She is not eating the foods that her body needs and she can make herself very sick doing that.

It doesn't sound like anorexia and it might not even be a psychological eating disorder... she might just be lazy. Ask her about her habit- how she feels about it, why she doesn't eat at school, etc. If she's avoiding eating at school because she's afraid of people judging her, then you've got an eating disorder on your hands and she needs to seek professional help.

I don't think your friend is anorexic..do you think that she has issues with food? It doesn't sound like she is trying to restrict, but if she has issues she could always be purging after eating the junk food after school..or it could be nothing. Just keep watch and see if she makes any comments suggesting weight or body image issues and notice if she heads to the bathroom soon after eating. I'm here if you have any questions!

no ... anorexia is when people dont eat at alll... it gets to the point where they hate food and may never want to eat it. sometimes its not even for loosing weight .. they just feel sick around food.
ur freind may just feel hungry when she gets home.. obvisouly because she hasn't eaten the rest of the day .. but if she wants to loose weight she should try to eat small snacks throughout the day.
hope it helps !
