I've been really sick this weekend and I always am when Ozone levels are moderate and higher, and I've always been curious about what causes this, and why these annoying symptoms... I know there are a lot of people out there with this same 'allergy' I guess.

Individuals with asthma and other respiratory illnesses have a more difficult time breathing when the ozone level is higher because ozone can damage the cells in your airways. When you already have respiratory problems, this aggrevates the lungs and makes the problem worse. Ozone is not an allergy but an irritant.
