Honey, they took your information because they are required to do so. Please relax. They could tell just by your reaction and from going through the house with you whether things were ok or not. And believe me when I tell you, they KNOW how sneaky and clever a three year old can be. They will not take your children because this happened. As a good mother, you will be more careful about locking the doors from now on and everything will be just fine. Please calm down and relax and just love those children and do the very best you can with them. That is all you need to do. All the best to you.

Everything will be very routine. I'm sure you have nothing to worry about. There are much worse parents out there. Not even saying that your a bad mom. I think your wonderful to care so much. My mom went through a similar situation. Only my little bro took his bigwheel. They did do some minor minor investagating... but it's good because they are just trying to look out for your children. It's nice to know that the community loves them too. They will probably give you a little talking too if they haven't already, and they will let you know that they are keeping an eye on you. THis just means that they put this incident on record, and then if anything more major were to happen, they would have more to look at. NO WORRIES!!!!

Three year olds do those types of things. The police came to see what type of living conditions you have and if it is the best environment for your children- if they at any momoent thought that your home was not safe you would not have your kids now.
What you did was an honest mistake. nothing more than that. If they do anything they may refer it over to child services, but then all they do is come and visit with you and decide if further help is needed. If not, then the case is closed. If you have no other criminal history most often than not they just close it.
Dont feel hard on yourself. Most parents can admit that there has been a time in their childs life that they didnt always make the best choice, but that their kids still grew up to be happy normal people...

Seems like if they thought the children were in danger they would have taken them right away. You are not a bad mom, I would advise hook latch locks installed high on the doors,my daughter used to slide out the chain locked doors because there was enough space, which I didn't think could happen. She never left the house but slid out when she thought I wasn't looking. GOOD LUCK

They have door handle covers that you can buy. Try any home improvement store or the like. You have to squeeze both sides to get the door to open with them or else it wont open.(its easy and one handed) I have them for my little escape artist. You might get a visit from Child Protective Services, but buy those right away, put them on all doors and you can show them that you corrected the situation. I bet they will NOT take your kids, but may investigate. Don't worry though. I am sure you are a good mom, but stuff happens, and they know that! Just explain what happened, get the door handle covers and you should be OK! Good Luck!

they were doing their jobs.... how would you feel if they would have just brought him back , said here ya go, and then just left the little one there, really NOT knowing if he was safe or even if he belonged to you ? so be grateful they ask and looked and dug... with all the children disappearing can you blame them ? they took the info because it is policy , they take all that even if they come to your house for a talk or a complaint...... they have to file reports on EVERYTHING, and I do mean everything.... but, if I were you, I would talk to a lawyer, just to get advice on the what ifs..... Child Protection Services , may or may not be called in to investigate..... this happened to me , I fell alseep on the couch, I was pregnant with 3rd child, did not know it at time, but my 2/12 yr old took his barely walking 9 m. old brother on a little walk to grandma's house..... it is scarey and sends a chill down your spine, but it just means we are human and kids are smarter than we give them credit for..... yes it was horrible, and yes it should wake you up, I mean maybe get an alarm system on your doors... it does NOT mean you are a bad mom..... God bless

RElax...they may d an investigation. You need to make sure that you have child proof locks on your windows and doors so that this doesn't happen again. Just co-operate with the investigation, and have these things taken care of before they come to your house.

calm down dont get too hyper especially if you have high blood pressure
i'll be praying for you!!

they have to take your info, just in case it happens again. But don't worry they wont take your kids away. unless they think the children are in danger.but you seem like a good mom so you don't have anything to worry about. just keep those doors locked.

they are doing their job and as long as you have been doing yours' you have nothing to worry about. relax. If they didn't ask for your info and make sure the home was safe would you feel better? No. Relax. Put a chain lock on the door up high and don't worry.
