I've never actually seen the character, but I've heard of "ping" as onomatopoeia for the sound of thunder. Of the ones that I have seen, there's one, 行, that I see often on banks.

even though I can not write it on this computer, my favorite one is yong (yong gan de yong) - courage. I have a silver necklace wiht it that I wear every day. It helps to remind me that I need courage in all parts of life.
