I have been reading posts here and on several other sites. I have noticed something interesting that seems to be consistant with all the sites. There seem to be a large number of people who prefer to respond to questions in a way that could be characterized as cruel or mean or generally hurtful. My question is why? What is it about us that has us choose to write something that tears people down rather than lifting them up? The spirt of what has been created by these sites is positive, and it seems that the people who post on them have the same desire - to derive something positive from the responses. I am saddend by some peoples' choice to meet those desires with comments designed to hurt rather than help.

come on now, get real! Can people ever do anything collectively without chaos and drama? There are all kinds of *ssholes in this world and there is nothing we can do about it. So just ignore these losers, or comeback with something that they can think about.

People who have low self esteem feel like they have to tear others down in order to build themselves up. I've never understood that point of view. I choose to totally ignore these ignorant types of people. It only feeds their desire to do more of it.

i wonder the same thing, i think it's because some people don't care about others, or they an't never been in their shoes, or they are just doing it for the points, now there is some questions that, they need to use their brains, but most of them are good questions, just being treated like it's nothing........ i agree with you, people need to give better answers........

It's because they don't take life serious, and it makes them feel big to be cruel to those who ask for advice. What goes round comes round.I like to help people if i can and if i can't i don't say nothing.

ya.. it's sad isn't it? i have come into contact with way to many humans who work to break everybody down around them instead of improving themselves. i guess it is an easy way out for them to feel better about their existance.
