How do I cope with stress?

I sleep. Worrying too much about something does not help to resolve the issue anyway, so might as well have a good break without having to think about it, and that would be to sleep.

Anyway, a little stress is healthy to push us into achieving what we need to achieve. However, we need to regulate the amount of stress that is affecting us. Many people cope with stress in numerous ways. Some would talk it out with loved ones and friends; others simply take healthy breaks; others try to rationalise to calm themselves down before moving on..

Good luck..

I dont know if I am really qualified to give advise on this! I am a stressed out maniac myself. I just try to take a little time off. I like to take baths, run, play with my dog, email people. Just break up the monotony. Study for an hour, then take a 10-15 minute break. And remember, life will continue! And you may as well live life to the fullest, so don't let midterms, boyfriends, work, whatever block you from that.

The most important step that we can take to reduce stress is to recognize that the way we are choosing to view the situation is what is causing the stress, not the situation itself. Thing happen, it's how we learn to accept these thing and make the best of them that elevates the stress we feel/create. This is a difficult concept to let go of. It is a great comfort to see the cause of our discomfort as being externally generated. It removes all responsibility from us. Strips us of all of our power and leaves us a hapless victim. What nonsense. love and blessings Don

Believe me when I tell you at age 37 try everything untill you find what works best for you. I used to meditate (before my children) now the closest I get is deep breathing. It is healthy and if you do it while your liying in bed the rythm will lull you to sleep.

get in the car...go for a drive all by myself...and scream my little head off :) let it all out....plus, I am by myself, and nobody is around to get hurt or catch my wrath!! otherwise I try meditation, music, relaxing bath....they all help in their own way...if it is major stress, sometimes I have to do all of the above.
