Yes, it's true, because originally, it was a "pick me up" drink that you could buy at the drug store.

It didn't have traces. It was a main ingredient. It was there as a pick-me-up. After the Coca-Cola Company bowed to political pressure and removed the cocaine they replaced it with caffeine.
Up until early in the 20th century cocaine was sold over the counter in drugstores. Many items contained cocaine in those days.
The name Coca-Cola even derives from the coca plant that cocaine comes from.

It's kinda true because they didn't have full cocaine in it, just an extract of the coca leaf. Coca-Cola was originally made to be used as a medicinal remedy, along with every other soft drink known today. Dr. Pepper, Pepsi-Cola, and various others also had drugs in them originally, but not anymore with the laws in place.

yes it is true. They used coca plant in the process. They stopped using that process when they figured it was making people high.
I remember when I was growing up in the 80's they actually had two kinds of Coke. Coke and Coke Classic. They changed the original process to not have any traces of the coca and re released it under the name Coke Classic.

Yes, very, very trace amounts. There used to more way back in the 20's and 30's. It's because they use natural extracts from the coca plant to flavor their soda. And, the rifining process doesn't get it all out. But, it's such a small amount it won't affect you.

It contained cocaine. It was originally sold as a headache remedy. Nobody uses it for that any more, so I guess that tells you something about how good it was for that purpose, but people liked the taste.

I don't think so. It would be to expensive to put an amount of cocaine in each bottle that gives some effect. Imagine how much it would have to be.

Yes it did. This was added to enhance the flavor somewhat but mostly to make it addictive to consumers. Coka-a-la-Cola, hence Coke'a Cola.
