How do I treat a wart off my finger without going to the doctor? Any remedies?..It hurts alot to the point of making my hand useless at times. It started like a small cut and developed into a painful unknown sore..then I am hearing that it's a wart.

Dr. Scholls manufactures several over the counter remedies. Go to your local drugstore and ask for assistance.

You should make a doctors appointment. I had a wart on my hand and tried every over-the-counter and other remedy possible. All that happened was that the wart caused other warts to appear on other parts of my hand. I eventually went to the doctor this time last year and after five or six treatments I was wart-free (and still am). The doctor is the only real guarantee that warts will not return (if they do after a doctor's treatment, they usually treat them again free of charge).

There are two remedies that work... you just have to try them and you will see.

1. Go ask a total stranger to buy your wart from you. Just tell them to give you some loose change in exchange for your wart. They will probably think you are crazy but that is OK, in a few weeks your wart will be gone. When you find someone that gives you loose change, do NOT count it. Just say thank you and put it in your pocket or purse and spend it as usual. Forget about the transaction and don't even remember the person's face that gave you the change. As soon as it leaves your mind, your wart will disappear. I couldn't believe it but it really really worked for me.

2) Take your mother's or grandmother's dirty dishrag and rub it over your wart. Wait until a full moon and burry the dishrag under a large tree. As soon as the rag rots, the wart will disappear. Don't tell anyone that you did this until the wart disappears or you will have to start over again.

Please let me know if these work for you!

DuoFilm (unsure of spelling), Dr Scholls and other over the counter products specifically for warts can be found at any of the pharmacies, show the pharmacist on staff there and ask for his recommendations! Peace!

My wife has a planters wart on her foot, the doctor prescribed Salysilic acid for it. Its also off the shelf, you don't need a prescription. just put it on there every day or night, and it kills the skin and eats the wart and it falls off. its really cool
