I don't think it is one of the questions that they ask on the questionairre that they give to everyone before giving blood. but I heard that if they find marijuana or other drugs in the blood they will just throw it away is this true?

i don't think the red cross checks for illegal drugs in your blood but if you state that you use drugs they will kick you out.they do run tests to check for HIV and AIDS and also hepatitis.if you use drugs other than what you doctor prescribes i would not donate

yes they test all of the blood. If they give drugged blood to a recipient they will be high too. They probably don't want to ask in case it becomes incriminating evidence. They also have a box where you can check if for some reason you know for sure that they can't use your blood but you have to give blood anyway, you can check that box anonymously and they will just throw away your blood (like if you have AIDS but you have to give blood for your job or whatever)

Yes it is a question they ask and yes they will throw it out and blacklist your name.
Because of the Aids epidemic any contaminated blood is rejected. Drugs, alcohol, disease, etc...
to many horror story about contaminates

no they will throw it away. they do this because if you are a drug user, you could infect someone with viruses that are caused by the risky behaviour that can transfer viruses such as aids, hbv, hcv.

yes they will dispose of it...and if you go to a blood bank and they find out they will take you to court...you are harming someones life...that could kill someone...
