My friend's beloved spoonrest was broken by my significant other. I am trying to replace it (The spoonrest, silly, not my S.O.) Does any one know where I buy or have a spoonrest made in the shape of a cucumber or pickle. I have checked at Bed, Bath, & Beyond; Linens & Things; Wal-Mart, K-Mart, Target, Dollar Stores, Walgreens, etc. I just don't know where else to look. Can any one help me out? Thanks

Believe it or not, those 'Everything $1.00' stores usually carry odd things like that... and I'd ask the friend if she would mind something in the same colors but not necessarily the same exact veggie design.... that way you might have better luck... as if the spoon rest was sentimental nothing can replace the value anyway except knowing that her friend cared enough to keep on a wild search to find one exactly like it ~smile~
Otherwise, I'd just go to a ceramic shop and tell them what I needed, they could make one if they don't have one in stock!
Good luck!

Amazon.com under spoon rest ..it shows 4 pages of different spoon rests...and I saw one that has a chili pepper one...I know it isn't a cucumber or pickle shape...but they do have a lot of shapes and realllllly cute ones!!!! When you get to the page...inthe search boxes...put home and Garden in the second box put spoon rest Have you tried Ebay??? I am sure you will find thousands of them!!! just put "sppon rest" in search box....or spoon rest and the secondary box put home and garden
good luck ....I hope you do find it...

You might try going on E bay or into an antique store. I don't know how old the spoon rest was, but better to replace it with something similar than not at all, right?

Find someone who is a good wood carver and have them make one.

You can try "color me mine", then you can paint it yourself and it will be an even more special keepsake for your friend.

Take a pottery class and make one... or have one made.
