Maybe you should stop trying. You can't "make" a guy like you. All you can do is be yourself (which, I know, is difficult to do, oddly enough) and wait for a guy that WILL like you "that way" and appreciate your uniqueness, to come along.

I'll assume you know this guy pretty well and hang out with him. So now all you have to do is ask him out and take it from there. Stop wasting time trying to flirt and figure out what to wear and just go for it.
