Of course. I've lived with one kidney all my life, though I didn't realise for the first thirty years. It is actually quite common to have only one. It is thought that about 1 in 750 people are born with only one kidney though most people with only one go through life in blissful ignorance of the fact.

yes. many people become living kidney donors for those who need a kidney transplant. My sister in law donated one to my husband. The remaining kidney will grow a bit to compensate for the missing kidney.
Generally, you do not need dialysis if you have a one functioning kidney.

if u remove one, the second one would grow to fill out for the other one. but u still have to avoid some medicine such as allergy pills and foods that contain thread like fibers such as celery. drink lots of water and don't stand too much on ur feet, since kidneys help the back to stay straight while standing. u won't need dialysis if u still have one kidney unless it's very weak

Both my cousin's kidneys failed. He was on dialysis for years, but then got a kidney transplant and he's just fine with one.

Of course! How do you think people would be able to donate a kidney. You have to realy take good care of yourself, though, so the other one doesn't fail.
