what do you have to lose if you believe her friend? Don't ya wanna find out for yourself if she does or not?

You should ask her out! If her friends say that she likes you she maybe said something to them that she doesn't want you to know!
Tips:
If you're not already be more friendly like with her.
Try a little flirting she might just flirt back.
-tell her you like her eyes
-tell her you like her outfit
-tell Herr you like her hair
if she blushes a lot and smiles a lot she likes you
Ask her out for a dance or something like that
Just seem really sure of yourself
PS: Give her a little gift
-flowers
-chocolates
-hair accessories
-kiss

yes she probably has said something about you so if you ask her out you should be guaranteed a date. go for it. and if the remote happens like she says no then tell her that her friends told you that she liked you so whats up with that/
