These are two different breed of dogs - both are used to the cold weather, both have similar personalities and double coats however they have different looks - they are about the same size also - check out their pictures on the internet - they are very similar yet they do have distinct looks about them.

tha Alasken Malamute has a fluffier coat then the Siberian Husky, and they originated from different points on the globe

first - size , the malamute is a very large dog
second = disposition - the malamute is more laid back
