Black widows are actually very common, but since they don't like to be disturbed and only live in dark places we don't see them very often. Even if you completely kill everything in the well, you will probably get black widows in there again. In fact, you've probably had them in there for a very long time but they've always managed to hide when they see you crack the lid. They are not agressive, but will bite in defense.
I would only worry about them if they are in my house, which has never happened to me even though I leave them alone in the yard.

I would listen to the pest control suggestion. Spiders like moist areas. If it laid eggs, then they are wrapped in a very strong web that won't easily be sprayed away. Driving them out into the open is not good either. They, of course are very poisonous, and you don't want them wandering around on the ground waiting to hitch a ride on any person or animal.

Go get the CD Alice Cooper Goes to Hell

"And here we have my prize, the Black Widow, Lepidopterus. Isn't she lovely? And so deadly... Her kiss is 15 times as deadly as that of a rattlesnake. In fact, immediately after consumation of her marriage to the smaller and weaker of the species, she kills and eats him....."

Flush the irrigation well if possible. That should blast those nasty critters out into the open at least. If there is enough PSI, you might even kill them.
