There are several different pet transport companies available and their are private pet sitters that will travel with your animal for a fee and deliver them from/to anywhere you want - it all depends on who much you want to spend. Most of these services use cars - if you want to use the airlines - you must do a lot of arranging for delivery, pick up and the crate is best if it is purchased directly from the airlines and not all airlines will transport animals for any reason like South West will not carry animals except service animals. Do your research on the internet and you can also check with Humane Services and local shelters and rescue organizations.

http://www.petmovers.com/ Try these folks. I have always either delivered or picked-up dogs and cats myself, but I've know some people who have used this site and have been very pleased. Avoid airlines, especially right now. Most have weather restrictions anyway, but there are so many potential delays, etc., that it's always risky. Good luck.
