MSN Messenger will NOT download on my computer Ive tried 6 times help!!!!?

Question

We bought the computer off of my husbands dad and it worked at his house... I have tried downloading it around six times and it says it wont download I keep getting error messages. I have even tried downloading an updated version of Internet explorer, but I keep getting these error messages, at first it was the version of internet explorer is not compatible, you need an updated version... We dont have any firewalls up that i know of.. I have tried everything, anyone know why or have any suggestions as to why I cannot get it working or why I keep having these problems
