Blasphemy is preaching virtue, but living hateful. People chastising others for going against Divine Sanctions/ Will but themselves make excuses for and justifying their own faults as a Divine Call or "its ok" eg. Its ok to sleep with a lot of people and leaving them heart broken or pregnant ( or worse ) but one is gay, then one is doomed to eternal damnation, but its ok to sleep around since its a hetero thing.
or Its OK to kill, maim, pillage, plunder and rape other nations and people because I am reclaiming the rightful land of the divine... doing it for God!! So its ok to supercede the 10 commandments to do so... further my act is not of hate... its of divine right! Approved by god... ( what utter nonsense )
Violent Hateful Hypocrisy, the worst form of Blasphemy to ever exist
THAT I believe is far worse than making fun of or disagreeing with any Holy Text.

This is what was taught to me early in life...."Since Jesus is but a veiled emissary of the Son of man on earth, blasphemies against him can be forgiven. Blasphemy against the Holy Spirit will not be forgiven, since it would involve rejection of the very action of God which forgives. Luke seems to understand the unpardonable sin as a failure to listen to the Holy Spirit in the hour of trial. It is in the mission of the church that the power of the Spirit to save or to condemn is operative." I hate to quote but this is what I have been taught and it is stated more eloquently than I could say it.

Only blasphemy against the Holy Spirit is unforgivable and I think blasphemy that is unforgivable is not allowing the Holy Spirit into your heart. Because He is the only one who can lead you to Jesus and to be a Christian and there is not way to heaven w/o jesus. but blasphemy against God or Jesus is still a sin and it's a sacreligious saying some that makes God seem immoral or evil or sexual or anything like that

destruction or defacing of any church or cemetery. I don't know that I'd call it blasphemy, but I do believe it's wrong. It doesn't matter what the religion it is. When any person makes fun or puts down anothers' faith, to me, that is wrong. Many Christians want people to honor their faith, but some do not extend that same desire to those of other faiths. I believe it's better to be respectful of all beliefs, or how can you ask for the same for your own?

The Bible states: Mt 12:31 Wherefore I say unto you, All manner of sin and BLASPHEMY shall be forgiven unto men: but the BLASPHEMY against the Holy Ghost shall not be forgiven unto men.
People that deny the power of God and use the Witchcraft for their power just to name one. Fall under the jurisdiction of the latter of this verse. Of which there is no repentance.

The Bible is clear about what is is? Speaking against the holy spirit. No forgiveness of such ones that apostate the road to life and enjoy stumbling others...(Example Satan ...Judas)
The results of Judas would be strong evidence that turning away from Jesus would be very very un wise

Blasphemy: common sense.
Personally, I don't see anything wrong with it. On the other hand, religious zealots are fond of condemning people to hell for even thinking it.

To say you're fighting or spreading the word of god(converting others). If he is SO powerful he doesn't need a lowly human's help in any matter unearthly.

I believe that blasphemy can be anything from saying J-C, G-D, anything that speaks ill of the church God , God's works. I also believe that saying oh God! as in suprise or frustration is not right. These are my CONVICTIONS. Not necessarily everyones.

The third commandment is Thou shalt not take the name of the Lord thy God in vain. I believe that any use of God's name Jesus, Lord, Christ, or any combination in a carnal way and not referring to His sovereignty is blasphemy
