See that's why I'm not a Christian, I thought we were supposed to worship God not Jesus. I'm sure God loves the fact that people put one of his prophets above him.

Jesus says He is the Son of God, or refers to himself as a part of the Trinity in the following Bible verses: Revelation 2:18. John 4:26 & 26, John 5:25, John 8:58, John 9:35,36, & 37, John 10:29&30, John 10:36,John 14:10, 11,13,&26, and John 15:26.
Grace and Peace! Jesus Christ is the Son of God, the second person of the Trinity, neither is there salvation in any other: for there is no other name under heaven given among men, whereby we must be saved. Acts 4:12
I hope this helps.

He does call himself that ... over and over. Read the book of John. Here's one of my favorites, taken from John 14:6-9 ...
[Jesus, talking to his disciples:] "I am the way, the truth, and the life! Without me, no one can go to the Father. If you had known me, you would have known the Father. But from now on, you do know him, AND YOU HAVE SEEN HIM." {emphasis mine}
[Philip says:] "Lord, show us the Father. That is all we need."
[Jesus replied:] "Philip, I have been with you for a long time. Don't you know who I am? IF YOU HAVE SEEN ME, YOU HAVE SEEN THE FATHER." {again, emphasis mine}
The Bible, and Jesus, constantly point to and proclaim Jesus Christ as God. Jesus was either a liar or He was God. There's no gray area there.

Interesting question.
Jesus is the Word of God, He's the Son of God, He's God with Us, but when He was on earth, He came as a man, and not as God. He came to show us the way to live, and He also came to die for our sins and to become the entrance point to God the Father.
God is the Father, the Son and the Holy Spirit. When most ppl refer to God, they are thinking about the Father, that is the Creator. But God is also the Holy Spirit who lives with and in us.
When Adam and Eve sinned, they became seperated from God the Father. Jesus, the voice of the Lord who walked through the garden of Eden and communed with Adam and Eve, could not find them after they had sinned. The voice of the Lord searched for them until He found them. There sin seperated them from God the Father, but it was God's Word (Voice) that found them. (God the Son) It was God the Son who came to earth and found us and brought us back to God the Father.
It's a very difficult doctrine to try to simplify over Yahoo! Answers.
But, with that working knowledge, when you think of Jesus, knowing His background, you see that He is God, though in His earthly ministry, He was not here to be God, but He was here to understand our human experience and bring us back into God's grace.

He never denies his deity. He actually does speak of himself as God. Not in the usual terms though. In John 8:58 he calls himself "I Am" which was a declaration of his deity.

He did refer to Himself as "I AM", to the Pharisees. In doing so, He acknowledges equity with God the Father and God the Holy Spirit. There are many other places where Jesus communicates His deity...but I'm not going to do your homework for you.

John 14:7-10 [7] If you really knew me, you would know my Father as well. From now on, you do know him and have seen him." [8] Philip said, "Lord, show us the Father and that will be enough for us." [9] Jesus answered: "Don't you know me, Philip, even after I have been among you such a long time? Anyone who has seen me has seen the Father. How can you say, `Show us the Father'? [10] Don't you believe that I am in the Father, and that the Father is in me? The words I say to you are not just my own. Rather, it is the Father, living in me, who is doing his work.
John 10:30 "I and the Father are one."
John 14:11 Believe me when I say that I am in the Father and the Father is in me; or at least believe on the evidence of the miracles themselves.
John 10:37-38 [37] Do not believe me unless I do what my Father does. [38] But if I do it, even though you do not believe me, believe the miracles, that you may know and understand that the Father is in me, and I in the Father."
Matthew 27:43 He trusts in God. Let God rescue him now if he wants him, for he said, `I am the Son of God.'"
John 17:11 I will remain in the world no longer, but they are still in the world, and I am coming to you. Holy Father, protect them by the power of your name--the name you gave me--so that they may be one as we are one.

the Bible does hold record of him acknowledging himself as the Son of God (one in particular Matthew 16:15-17), but this was in private with his disciples. He did not make this claim in public because the Jews of his day did not get the trinity. His announcement would've been interpreted as Him saying He was Yahweh, and that would've sounded weird to them and it woul've hindered his ability to get his message out.
