I think you need to get your priorities straight if you're an officer of the law. You are NOT even close to being God, and your attitude is what makes normal citizens say bad things about the law. Police officers have a code of ethics to abide by and from the way I see it, you didn't take ethics in your law enforcement education. Either that, or you're not an officer at all. However, if you are, then I sure hope the others employed by your police force aren't as full of BS as you are. Get a life!

First I doubt you are any type of law enforcement officer...maybe a rent a cop, the type that they won't allow to carry a weapon. Hell, even I have a permit to carry a concealed weapon.
I received my undergraduate degree in CJA and have several police and deputy sheriff friends. I elected to get my commission in the army and legally carry a weapon in that capacity. Hey, why don't you show some b*lls and tell us which state of federal law enforcement agency you work for and the name of your watch commander. Then we can forward you disturbing and psychotic e-mail to him or her. Oh and throw in your Chief's name and address while you're at it....you stinking rent-a-cop and probably ex-felon....wife beating right?
And learn the law idiot, police have the power to enforce the law,not throw people in prison...that is the judicial branch. And I haven't heard a policeman use the term billy club since some 1940's movie. They are officially called batons or night sticks by the old timers.
I bet you can't even answer this basic question regarding weapons use. How many feet at a minimum must you draw and fire your side arm in order to prevent the assailant from physically reaching you? I a wait your answer...lying a** sob.

First things first, I respect the law. Many people think officers are just hardas*es - But I know that you guys have to put up with a LOT of bullsh*t!
However, there do happen to be some bad cops who have no respect for the law whatsoever - They just get off on their pathetic power trip.
Honestly, I don't like the way you appear to come off as in this "message" of yours. You claim that we're ALL scum in your book, but keep in mind that you're not perfect just because you're a police officer. I respect you for what you do, but that doesn't mean you are better than the rest of us. I don't feel like I'm "always breaking some type of law".
You're certainly NOT God. Keep in mind that karma comes around, and someone is going to knock you off your high horse here shortly.
You want the US Citizens to respect Law Enforcers? Then I suggest you watch the things you say to us:
"If you disrespect us we will smash your brains in with our billy clubs, maybe electrocute you with my favorite stun gun."
Your scare tactics don't work - It just makes you less respectable.
I am planning on going into Law Enforcement because I know that people who truly care about the US and the Law, are ones who respect the citizens of this country - And that certainly doesn't appear to be something you and I have in common. I don't make threats to people. I'm not here to scare people, or electrocute them. I'm here to help. Period.
I think you're going to regret some of the things you've spoken here. So, tell me, what would your "boss" think of if he saw this little question you wrote here? It'd sure make your precinct have a bad rep.
It's "cops" like you who give a bad rep for the good guys.

You do a great imagination of most all cops that I have ever met.
I feel pretty much the same way you do about most law enforcement. They are mostly a bunch of thugs that can't wait to thump someone's head. We have had a lot of killings lately in my area where cops are so scared of everyone and everything that they shoot first. A retarded kid was shot to death by a cop in the last few months because he was not coordinated enough to put his hands over his head. They had already slammed him to the ground face down and were yelling at him to put his hands over his head and he could not do it so they killed him. He was just walking down the side of the road. He had wondered off from home and was being looked for when he was killed.
There are many other things like that here. A man was fighting with his wife and when he came out the door they shot him to death.. A guy was asleep on a park bench and was woke up by the police and when he moved too fast they said he attacked not woke up with a startle from them jabbing him and they shot him to death. One other man a bum in the same park was shot by the whole police force best as anyone could tell. They said he pulled a gun on them and they shot him 76 times. I guess that bag with a half eaten hamburger was just too dangerous for the big bad fayetteville arkansas city police force to handle.
Sure seems that the rules here are dominate and shoot first then ask questions and see what is going on.

A person commits a crime of the fourth degree if he falsely pretends to hold a position as an officer or member or agent of any law enforcement agency with purpose to induce another to submit to such pretended official authority or to otherwise act in reliance upon that pretense.

It appears you are confused and probably not a police officer in this dimension. Police officers are first and foremost people just like everyone else. They (a majority) of them choose their life career because they want to help and change society for the better and make the innocent safe. It may sound cheesey but it is true. Unfortunately the majority of people that police officers encounter in day to day activities are not the Mr. and Mrs. Taxpayer type who have problems that they need help with. It is the crud of society that has no respect for themselves nor the people around them and surely are not going to respect someone just because they have a uniform on. The crud of society has little to lose and cursing at, spitting at, striking, kicking, or assaulting an officer is okay by them because "it's no big deal, I'll just serve my 90 days and once i get out of jail I can go back to leeching off of society until I go back to jail again" - They have no jobs, no bills to pay, no responsibilities in their lives.... the high light of their day is using their benefit card to grab some malt liquor so they can remain drunk.... it doesn't bother them that their kids are sleeping with dried cat turds or that their dog has filled up the bath tub with crap because their utilities are shut off... their rent isn't paid because they know it takes about 3-4 months to be evicted and once they are evicted they will con some other landlord into letting them rent from them and do it all over again... 29 out of 30 people that officers deal with live this way and after doing the job for a long time and finding out that you don't have time to help change society, you only have enough time to control it until the next shift comes on, the officer becomes calous to things and if his or her mind is not strong he or she begins to treat everyone like the crud of society.... it is frustrating to arrest someone for dealing crack to see them 30 days later doing the exact same thing, or arresting the guy for beating his wife every 3 weeks, or arresting a theif once a week for shoplifting.... cops deal with the same group of crud over and over and over and over and over and over....it's a fact that in any given city 2% of the population is responsible for 80% of the crime ...... this is not a pity party for police officers, it's just an observation... and for that one officer that treats everyone like crud there are 99 more who don't...

you are either being sarcastic, or you're an idiot. cops are no better than anyone else, and it you're too stupid to realize that, that'e your problem. some people, even those who aren't cops, might deserve to have it better than you. there have been stories on yahooanswers where people have posted questions where cops have wrongfully stopped them and treated them badly for no reason, and it was wrong for those cops to do that if their stories were true, and you need to realize that.
people who aren't cops are no more "scum" than people who are cops.
i don't care who you are or what your profession is, if you treat me badly and wrongfully, I will refute and set you straight and make you realize that you're wrong. i'm a good person and I deserve to have it better than most individuals deserve to have it, and I will have it good and live where I want to live and drive the vehicle I want to drive and have the kind of job I want and make the kind of money I want, if I want to.

YOU ARE PROBABLY SITTING IN A RUN DOWN APARTMENT WISHING YOU WERE A COOL GUY WITH A TAZER AND PRETENDING THE BANANA YOU STUCK IN YOUR PANTS IS YOUR GUN AGAINST YOURSELF IN YOUR MIRROR.
YOU SUCK.

This is why we as citizens have something to say about police. In our communities we are forced to depend on the ignorance of police officers who abuse their power and commit the crimes they took an oath to protect us from we don't have a problem with cops we have a problem with the ones who don't do their jobs!
