As others have said, she could be sick, have hairballs, or be eating too fast.

Other possibilities: is she chewing on plants/grass in your house? This makes them vomit.

Sometimes when cats become constipated, they vomit because they are blocked and there is no where else for the food to go except back out the mouth.

What exactly does her vomit look like? If it looks like hairballs, there's your answer. If there are pieces of leaves/grass, that's your answer. When in doubt, always take your cat to the vet. Does she show any other symptoms like lethargy, loose stools, lack of appetite, etc...?

Also, my own cat vomits in protest on occasion if I don't feed him by 6:00 am. It's a technique he's learned to get me out of bed faster.

Could be hairballs, brushing once a week will help eliminate hairballs.
There is also a paste you can give your cat to help it control the hairballs.
Try changing the food, it could be that your cat has a sensitive stomach.

I have a 2 year old cat that does throw up quite often, expecially when he hasn't been outside to eat grass...I think he may have asthma too--he snores to beat the band!!! (no joke)

Hope this helps.

Probably hairballs. Could also be because it eats too fast. I read somewhere that if you put a couple of large rocks in with their food it prevents them from eating too fast which causes them to throw up.

Over-eating, hairballs, usually. Cheapest and effective way to prevent hairballs is letting the kitty lick off your finger a tiny bit of butter. They love it and it 'lubes' 'em...:) Works for me! Don't let your cat 'free feed.' Feed it in the morning and in the evening. That will help prevent overeating and keep its weight in check.

My cat used to vomit all of the time. I changed his food to Natural Balance Venison & Green Pea formula. If he has lost a meal in the last year I have not seen it.

Because what the cat is eating does not agree with him.
