I'm in the National Guard. I do it full time now, but for the first nine years I was in, it was part time. An E-2 for a standard drill will make about 190 a month. But hey, that's for 2 days of work. It has been basically a part time deal
1 weekend a month and 2 weeks a year

But you are federalized so that means you can be called up and sent out just as if you were full time or normally called active duty.

But if you get activated to full time status you get paid the same as an active duty person would

Part time. EXCEPT when you do your initial military training, the 2 weeks out of the year which is called "annual training", or if you have full time orders, such as if you get mobilized, or if you are ordered to a full time active Guard position.
