Anyone know if it is possible to draw a 3 - D sphere with microsoft word or Visio or.......as a last resort downloadable software (free of coarse) .

It would take more work to do it in those programs than in a graphics program.

I am not sure if it is possible to draw a 3 - D sphere with microsoft word or Visio but you can always import it as a image file.

You can draw a circle with either program. But since a 3D sphere basically looks like a circle, but with shading to indicate shadow and depth, you'd have to add that yourself to the circle.
