Hey..
I don't even know where to begin.. I will start with I used to cut myself and do other things to try and take away the emotional pain I was feeling. I also did not do it to die.. You are not the only one out there. I saw a dr who put me on deppression/anxiety meds. And I also saw a therapist who sucked.. I was in an abussive relationship and he advised me to go back to it.. SO yeah deff not all therapist/shrinks know what they are talking to a 2nd even 3rd opinion cant hurt. If anything it will help to make sure address the actual problem you do have. It could even be the 2 diff meds they have you on clashing and not working properly. It can make a big difference with the meds you on as well as having a good therapist/shrink. You know im here anytime you need or want to talk.. And I will def PM you later and chat with you..
love ya!

Let it all out. Take a personal day to just stay in bed and cry and watch TV and come to terms with what has happened. It's very difficult to deal with quitting smoking and losing someone you've loved dearly, but it'll get easier. If the relationship ended like that then it just wasn't meant to be. Everything happens for a reason. Quitting smoking has already made you a healthier person. Look at it that way. If your depression deepens I go see a therapist. There is nothing wrong with that. Feel better.

I know you've been having a rough time with things, and for some reason stuff has seemingly changed, not necessarily to where it'd tip the scale in good or bad.

There are some very good answers here. You know how I personally feel about doctors and medications though.

I believe in you. You are a strong person, it's just that the evils plaguing you are trying to weigh you down. Don't give up. I've always kept my confidence in you. You've over come the odds so far and you are actually doing great. It's like some of the others said, you have to realize what's going on, and take control of the problem. Do NOT let it control you. It's your life, you take over.

I'm always here for you when you need me. You are a dear friend to me, and I do love you. And you have others around you that care for you and love you just as well. Just remember, you're never alone.

No, you are not the only one who feels that way. I think some people simply have a different level of coping skills. Right now it appears that your coping skills are not working very well. If your relationship is stable and good - - talk to your parenter and ask his help - then seek proffessional help. If one shrink didn't work perhaps find another. God is not punishing you - - God does not want to see you suffer. You are loved and there is plenty of reasons to live. Everyone faces hard decisions and your life is not the only one who is screwed up or hard by typical standards. Good Luck and take it a day at a time.

I don't know what to say besides take a step back and look at the situation. Try not to do the things that stress you out, and if you must, do something during the day to make yourself happy- like getting a smoothie or watching a favorite tv show. Increase the things that make you happy. Talk to a parent or friend. If you see things you need some higher dosages for schizophrenia. Really only family and friends can help because they know you. Good Luck.

Make an appointment with your doctor and tell him/her everything that you've told here. You may need an adjustment to your medications. Make sure to get a correct diagnosis. I was diagnosed with major depression and schizoaffective disorder. It took 10 more years to get the correct diagnosis of bipolar disorder type I (the type in which you have hallucinations- you did mention that you see things and people (non living things/people), which sounds like you may be having hallucinations. Maybe you should talk to your doctor about bipolar disorder. If you don't have it, at least he/she could rule it out. I hope everything works out for you. Be strong! Also- antidepressants can make bipolar disorder worse. Please see your doctor immediately.

Don't despair there is hope....Either talk to your Doctor or get a new one.It sort of sounds like you need a mood stabler more then a anti depressant. There are medications that are out there to help you with your cutting and your hearing and seeing things.you need to be honest to your doctor so he can give you the right medication it does exist.also find someone to talk to who you can relate with keep looking for the right doctor and therapist that is the key to feeling better... good luck...
LIFE IS GOOD BUT SOMETIMES WE(ME ALSO) HAVE TO FIGHT A LITTLE HARDER TO MAKE IT SO.....DON'T GIVE UP FIGHT FOR WHAT YOU DESERVE...

You sound irritable, so either your Zoloft isn't working, needs to be increased, or you need to change your antidepressant to something like Paxil that helps more with anxiety too. Vistaril (?) that is prehistoric! I would probably try something for bipolar...like Lithium, Depakote or Lamictal to stabilize your moods.

No, you are not the only one. What about partial hospitalization? You go to the hospital each day for a full day of learning skills and having therapy. My therapist says to continually tell yourself that suicide is not an option.
