Redken and Matrix are amazing, but always best applied by a stylist--then it looks natural. If you cannot afford to get your hair colored by a stylist, volunteer for a hair school--they do great work and you get your color for free. You can get touch ups in the future too. Just call the schools nearby.
Clairol is not bad either.
