I am going to go to Seoul Korea in two week and I want to take my first aide kit but it is 6 years old and I never use it but I am glad I did not have to use it. it is best to buy a new first aide kit to continue to use my old one? because they are pretty expensive for a first aide kit.

It is always good to periodically check the items in your First Aid kit, and replace any missing or expired items. Also if any packages seem to be browning, or the contents may have become exposed to air, then replace them as well. Never throw out an old First Aid kit, just restock, and built upon. Good Luck :D

yeah you should dispose your old first aid kit and buy a new one because there is more things that belong in a first aide kit that you probably do not have in your 6 year old first aide kit

The adhesives in the bandages and most of the ointments and medicines are probably out of date, the alcohol dried out, etc.

I'd toss out the stuff and buy new supplies if you do not choose to totally replace the kit.

First aid kits are pretty cheap. Why take the chance?

Anything that has a limited shelf life will have an expiration date on it. Things like bandages as long as sealed should still be fine. You may need to update some of the other products however.

I would just open it up and check the supplies. Make sure that any medications have not expired, and that you have everything you think you'll need. If there's anything you think you need to replace because it looks like it won't work, or if there's anything extra you think you'll need (like if you think you'll need extra gauze, bandages, or antibacterial ointment), just buy those things and add them to your kit. The adhesive in the bandages may have dried out, so I would open up at least one bandage and make sure.

Just replace the out of date items and the ones missing.

first of all, it is first aid (no "e"). yes you can use it if all packages are unopened, and the expiration dates on other items are ok (eye wash, ointment, etc.)

Everything in there is most likely out dated. I would toss that one out and get a new one.
