If you put the same amount of money into the mustang that they paid for the BMW, they would not have a chance. If your car is stock, you don't stand a chance. They paid the money for factory to do the homeowork and put the power into it. As it stands, he will suck the paint right off of ya.

Good news is, however. The Shelby is out.
Well, the 95 Stang was good...but there are 12 years apart between a 95 and an 07. I think an 07 Shleby can put up a race with a M5.

Most Mustang v-8s will beat a stock BMW till the 1/8 or 1/4 but the Bemmer will beat them with the top end power/speed no matter what.....
But the M5 is a class in them selves, and better left to a corvette z06 or Ford GT than a mustang unless you have the slips to prove the power.. and that's usually at close to the same price as that M5,you need to make that kind of power...

Having driven the '07 M5 (not around a parking lot but really driving it!) I can tell you that you haven't the slightest chance of keeping up with it. It'll eat your Mustang before you even hit 2nd gear.
Be logical - a 215hp V8 vs. a 500hp V10, a 5 speed manual vs. a 7 speed SMG.
I can only assume you're pulling our legs with this one.

You mustang GT drivers are all the same. 'My car is soo FAST!' please, a mustang with less than 250hp is nothing to fear, there are trucks faster than your shitty mustang. That M5 will hand you your *** time and time again. early 90s mustang gts till 2004 were a joke for performance. Even the new ones barely crack the 13s, something 4th and 5th gens were doing stock over a decade ago.

I wouldnt race for pink slips. I had a mustang although yours is faster. But I now have an M roadster now and it is so powerful its scarry. Have you ever looked under the hood? Its all engine! The good news for you is the dealer said they put a chip in it in the USA to keep it from running over 130 mph. Maybe he hasnt had it changed . Your mustang should beat that. But in a short race he will win. I also dont advise driving over 130 mph.
