I'm 31 and I used to be bulimic. I stopped in my late teens. It is very hard to stop. You have to increase your self-esteem. Learn to like your body. What is most important is that you make an appointment with your family doctor. I know it's hard to talk to your parents about it, so maybe you can find some other older person who can take you to the doctor. Maybe an older sister or brother, an aunt, an uncle, a cousin, grandparents, a friend's parents, just whoever you know and feel comfortable talking to. Don't be afraid of what they will think. Bulimia is not your fault. I hope everything turns out great for you. You can do it, just be strong.

Hi Elesha.....It sounds like you've been through a lot. I noticed your posts from a month ago mention some trauma. There are actually therapists out there that specialize in BOTH eating disorders AND trauma. If you need help finding one, just let me know the area that you live in, and I will send you links for referrals. I can also see about finding you a support group in your area.
I'm so sorry that so much has happened lately. You need and deserve support.
I tried to email, but it says your email is unconfirmed...

You are carrying a pretty heavy burden for your age. Sometimes medicine can get you through a time like this and then you can get off the meds later. What you are feeling I am thinking anyone would feel the same way, but being bulimic is not going to help you think your way through this, you are stronger than you think you are. Can you think of or find someone that you admire that went through a lot of adversity and read about them or find them on biography.com on the Internet and see how they got through the rough times? Best Wishes to you!!

Forget about your hair and school project, it the long run its not important.
Sounds like you need to talk with someone, and personally I'd start with your dad and mom. Then maybe going to a professional.
A few years ago I had a whole bunch of stuff come up on me at once, and just talking to someone really helped.
Good luck

It sounds like you have way too many bad things happening all at once. Do you have an aunt or older sister or brother whom you could talk with? Good luck to you, hon.

Have you heard of cognitive behavior therapy? It can cure you of just about any mental disorder. Talk to a CBT qualified psychologist. Notice I didn't say psychiatrist... they just toss drugs at you and hope you cure yourself.
