First, you may not be able to bring (much less use) your Laptop on board a commercial aircraft. You'll need to check with the Carrier you are actually flying for absolute info...check the Website or call Reservations....or the TSA Website for a totally domestic journey.
FYI: In the "old days" there were outlets in the "blue rooms" (lavatory)........I don't think any Carrier offers this amenity anymore:(

No the only place a power outlet is stored is in the galley of the aircraft, used for cleaning with the vacuum and whatnot. Outlets are not at the seats.

Many (or most) airplanes have power available, but not a standard 120VAC; it's a 12(?)VDC power port designed for laptops (you need to buy a special converter, like one you would use in your car - check out igo.com, for example).
Unfortunately, I don't think that many (or any?) planes have these power ports in economy class, so you are probably out of luck.
You could check the web site for your airline (and the specific type of plane you are flying) and see if they have info.
-Good luck.

depends on the airline....usually not in Economy. Business or First, you can expect. If you will be working...get your company to fork out the $ for Business! for a 24 hour plane ride, never mind your laptop, YOU won't be very functional towards the end...
