There is a cassette adapter (if you have a tape deck). It should cost no more than around $20 at any major gadget places.
The FM transmitter is about $30 and works like a miniature radio station by broadcasting the signal from your mp3 player.
Other cars tuned to the same radio station as you will pick up your broadcast if they are close enough to you.
Don't get the ones that use batteries, but rather plug into the cigarette lighter socket.
Don't buy from Radio $hack as you'll pay too much for it. Go to Best Buy or the like.

You can use the iTrip. But I really don't advise you to do so if you live in a big city. Cos you got heavier radio interferences there. Or you can also use a cassete adaptor. You can get it from an apple store. Or you can also find a cheaper product that's made in china in your local electronic store. I've used one for almost 4 months and haven't encountered any problem at all. It's no new technology, you know. When the in car CD changer hasn't been introduced to the market, people've been using a cassete adaptor with their portable CD player.
Oh, I also recommend you to buy a car lighter adaptor. So you can hear the music via the car stereo and also charge the iPod at the same time.
If you don't have any budget constraint, you can buy the harman kardon drive+play. Or you can always buy a new head unit, heheh. Most of the new ones supports iPods. There's a list of compatible head units on the apple website (link below).

I worked at Circuit City for years in the car audio installation bay. Trust me when I say to get a powered FM modulator. They were about $50, but this is the only way to maintain sound quality, and combat signal degradation. You will need to purchase headphone to RCA cables also, if you are using an I-Pod style MP3 player.

Probably not to a 95, I don't know. But yes, you can connect your mp3 player to your car so it will play on the cars speakers. You need to go to a radioshack most likely, I know wal-mart will have them.

like 1 of these people said, go to radio shack or your favourite electronics store and they have a little device that sends a signal from your mp3 or portable cd player right to your fm antenna. it works from the fm waves almost like talking on a cb or two way radios. might run ya about $20 to $30

I recently purchased an "FM transmitter" for my iPod. Simply plug the transmitter into your cigarette lighter, and the ipod into the transmitter, and then change your radio station to the transmitters, then you have your music over the speakers. It is much better than burning a bunch of CDs, and very easy. Very cheap over EBay too!
