Marijiuana turns purple because of the amount of THC that is on the plant. THC (Tetrahydrocannabinol) is what gives you the high you get from smoking, therefore the phrase the 'purplest of the purple' is a good thing.

THC combined with some other substance in abundance on the plant tends to be sticky therefore sticky + purple = great.

How it turns purple is in the maturing process of the plant, the part where if you are growing it you'll start to notice development of said purple, havent grown any so i wouldnt be able to go into any detail about that.

All in all, the more purple the better. happy smokings, and dont let it pull you into worse drugs.
