Final Fantasy VII and VIII already had a software for PC use how come Final Fantasy IX doesn't have one?

I would wager a guess that Square Enix decided that the cost of putting their next game out on the PC as well would not be worth it to them. Also, at that point in gaming, it was very hard to match the graphical quality of the consoles on a PC, unlike today, when some PCs run games much better than consoles. At that point, however, that was just not so.

yes, it is a shame that this game was never placed on the computer, but oh well, not much we can do about it. There were a lot of things added into this game that probably wouldnt have ran well on the computers as they were a bit behind the systems at the time this game was released, thus making it hard for the game to be released on the computer. Although, it was a great game that I wish was on the comp. but oh well, I think its alright.

it would cost too much to produce , as it is a very long game , i think it has 4 discs ! plus with the cost of prodction in everything else squar has made , it would cost too much . so sorry. i agree with you , i think ff9 should be on PC too , im a PC gamer myself. but there is an online version of ffxi , which i heard is amazing , im downloading it now :D good luck gaming !

the price issue, i guess. I wish it would come out for PC!
