I'm more than tired and exasperated with the current system of American politics. Most especially with having to be "democrat," "republican," or "liberal," or just plain "unaffiliated." I have lived through the public school system, been screwed over by it. Seen my family screwed over by it, and the medicare/medicaid system. Seen both my grandfathers and my dad screwed over by the VA. Seen a distant uncle screwed over by the courts for defending his home and in the process killing the man who was robbing his house. I've seen so many other things locally and nationally and of course internationally that have screwed over my 'brothers' and 'sisters' in America, and across the world. I am willing ready and anticipating starting a new political party, that most likely 30-40% at least of Americans can identify with, and unite behind. 16,000 US youth died last year, while the money for their law enforcement protection was sent overseas. Anyone ready for: "4 the people, by the people" again?

American. Rooted in the constitution and supplemented by FDR's second bill of rights, advancing the rights of every american, and further of every human, to the right of a good job, education, a decent home for every family, adequate medical care, adequate protection from economic fears of old age/sickness/accident, and unemployment, every businessman/woman large and small to trade in an atmosphere of freedom from unfair competition and domination by monopolies at home and abroad, to earn enough to provide adequate food, clothing and recreation to your family and to a useful and remunerative job in the industries, shops, farms, mines, and fields of the nation. Many of these things Americans take as guaranteed rights/freedoms. Most dont realize alot of these things are NOT guaranteed. I agree that we need a third party. I'd call it the "Constitutional Purist" Party. If the Constitution says it, it's gospel as far as I'm concerned.

I also know about the other things you mentioned. What would you like to call this political party? When you decide on a name let me know. I think even though some people don't like to deal with politics that we should anyway.
Here is a quote I think you might like. "Political correctness is a sensor ship to free speech." I can't remember where I heard that, But I think it's a very good quote.
I hope you can put me on the list. When are you planning the Rebellion for? If you find out let me know asap. Because if you are planning a rebellion, let me know & I'll be there faster than you can say. "Grab your guns, were going to war!"

We have all been set up, do what you can brother but I don't think any significant political changes are going to happen in our life time. Example: George Bush is still the president after he bought and sold his first election and self to other countries to aid in his gimme all your damn oil project aka weapons of mass destruction. If I were you I would just leave a diary for my grand kids, make that your great grand kids.

There's a basic problem with the premise of your question. You ask about Obama, and complain about Obama supporters. Even if we were to take your supposition about Obama supporters as true (they strike me a bit like the pot calling the kettle black), how are the two related? In point of fact, Mr. Obama has been meeting with both Congressmen/women and Senators fom both sides of the aisle, and all (including the Republican leadership) have agreed that they have been both productive and hopeful. So I guess the answer to your question is that Mr. Obama has already started. Cheers. ADDITIONAL NOTE: That is a specious argument, and I think you probably know that. Our system is not one of direct democracy, wherein the voting public takes an active part in the day-to-day business of governance, but elects representatives that they believe will best represent their interests in their stead. Once an individual is elected to office, that representative has the responsibility (in theory, if not always in practice) to govern for his or her entire constituency, not to just those whole elected him or her. If the voting public or its representatives are displeased with the manner in which their elected officials govern, they have a number of means of registering that displeasure. With all due respect, I think we both know that an elected official may represent his supporters, but his supporters to do not necessarily represent that official. Cheers.

Im way ahead of you buddy. Im working to petition the formation of a new political party in maryland called the Kalends party. Working off the platform of reducing the gap between the classes and the idea of more quickly being able to move up in socioeconomic status. The realization of the american dream, to have more than your parents and move up in class is something that very few seems to be able to achieve nowadays and its just getting harder. When our leadership drags its feet to solve problems out of fear that they'll offend someone we all suffer and they offend all. We need a group based in utility and action. That is why I'd like for you to give your support to me in my venture. Thank you.
