I'm interested in therapy/counseling that I can get on the Internet. I'd be willing to pay a reasonable charge, say perhaps through PayPal. Does anyone know of such a service?

It does exist--- http://www.etherapistsonline.com/ but be careful. I do not know a single good, ethical therapist who will do this, as you can't truly know, diagnose and help a person online. There are also issues of legality, as in the US, therapists are licensed by state. Therefore someone who is licensed in NY shouldn't be treating someone who lives in CA without an additional CA license.

SOOOOO much information can be gathered in an in-person session that is lost online.....body language, tone of voice, eye contact (or lack of), actions, etc. If the therapist can see all of this, in addition to hearing your words, he/she can gather more information and better help you. Best to find an in-person therapist. Good luck!

Have u tried one to one counseling before? Why put ur self out there where others can see ur most intimate issues? Plus ur not guaranteed that u will be getting the best possible advice for ur money on-line. Advice or counseling is like having a butt everyone has one and u get what u pay for, sometimes it feels like u took a good dump but then more than often u get dumped on. Try the yellow pages or a mental health facility with years of visible experience. Good luck in ur hunt, I know first hand u see I have a mental illness.

A friend of mine uses this guy. From what I understand, he accepts PayPal and she was very pleased with him.
