lol - you give the average person too much credit if you think that they will recognize and remember all the subtles steps along the path of transformation. For the most part all that is summed up in conversion, and they don't even know it - because everyone they know is converted or will never be converted.

Peace!

Election? I disagree there. Calling fine! Regeneration couldn't that also include Reincarnation? Conversion from ? Justification from ? Adoption for? Santification of ? As for Christ he/she is only glorified if we choose to be Christian. What if you don't know any thing that you did wrong? Where is the sin if you don't know how can it be sin? I don't know my sin if I have any sin! Sin is something that hurts people is it not? I don't know who I've hurt! I say that traditional Christianity is poppy-cock! .. Just done to control the masses. For real Christianity... see Gavin and Yvonne Frost.. Christian Witches! there address is in most issues of the Examiner in the Classifieds.

What you are saying is true; however it is also true that we do not earn our salvation. It is a gift of grace from God, so our works do not get us into heaven. All of the things you mention are religious steps; however, if a person has true faith in God, they could move through much of that fairly quickly. Think of the criminal who died on the cross right next to Christ. He repented and was told, "Today you will be with me in paradise."

I can see that you have a calvinist influence based on the order given, but you are wrong. First comes repentance and then regeneration, Well, the thing is that you are regenerated when you are converted, that is saved, all the rest happens after you HAAVE REALLY BEEN converted, regenerated or saved.

How do you know what I think or believe? Conversion has nothing to do with a long term relationship with Christ. I repent every day. I study, I talk to God. Every day I am changing. I'm not perfect I don't claim to be. If you don't continue to grow in Christ you are not a Christian.

I agree (with everything there that doesnt sound Calvinistic)

Salvation is an ongoing process. The Bible never says "you can know from the moment you accept Jesus that you will go to Heaven" but teaches us to continue in the Faith and be careful not to fall away.

Salvation is actually a one-time deal, but I'll explain why.

We have two different realities to deal with-- time & eternity. Eternally, when we accept Christ as Lord & Savior, we are saved forever. Our spirits become alive (resurrected with Christ), and we are saved, we don't have to worry about being "re-saved". However, in our souls, we have to be taught, we have to be renewed daily, we have to be trained. Salvation is an eternal promise but since we're trapped in "time" and not in eternity yet, we have to wait for our salvation to be played out through time. Every day and every trial that we go through is God purifying us and making our souls perfect, until the day of Jesus Christ.

When you ask God to forgive your sins, If you are truly sorry for those sins, he Is faithful to do that which he said he would do, now you need the faith to believe that, but when you are first save, yo are like a new born baby, that is fed with milk, meaning you take it slow at first, because its a slow process for babies to learn, don`t mean your not saved, just that you new at it. then as you grow as a christian, you will be able to handle, or understand more complicated things in the Bible and the things you are to do as a christian. time brings it all together, but you are saved from the moment you ask for forgivness.

Salvation happens by grace, thru faith (Romans 8.) Salvation vs. "only conversion"...please clarify your question.

Salvation is a simple process...you recognize your sin, you turn to God the Son in faith to cleanse you from your sin, and you turn away from your sin. There is more to it, but this process, if you are sincere and honest with yourself and God, is all there is to it.

Hey,

Me I am in the stage of conversion. There is no "only" to it , it is a total mind -body conversion or change/ a process (devil accusing, waiting for 2 witnesses), Like the convertible, he roof comes off, it is scary at first, but it is a cool ride/
