Okay, so from my understanding, those who believe in God only associate the good with him. Why not the bad?

You say God is everywhere, so evil can't be the absence of God (from what I understand). Sure you could associate Satan with evil, but really if God is omnipotent, then all the evil Satan does is clearly in his control. So really, couldn't you associate evil and bad things with God not stopping evil?

Personally, I don't believe in God. But if you do, why doesn't good and evil all come from the same place? God is the one, the omega, the beginning and the end, the source. So shouldn't everything originate from the creator of everything, including evil? Why is it when good things happen, God made it so. But when evil happens, its never God.

Isaiah 45:7

I form the light, and create darkness: I make peace, and create evil: I the LORD do all these things.

God's relationship with evil is that God is the abscence of evil. People thank God for good things and people blame God for bad things. Others don't ever mention God at all, neither thanking or ignoring. The truth is that mankind is resonsible for its own actions, not God. God gave us authority over our own personal destinies and the capacity to choose both evil and good. God gave us the choice, the potential to be evil, God isn't evil. Only man has that potential, and its one he chooses to exercise more than any other creature on this earth.

If good is equated with light and bad with darkness, a scientific mind like yours may be in a better position of arriving at an answer to your question. Is darkness the presence of an entity or the absence of light?

Additionally though, to a certain extent, you are correct: God could have prevented the original sin. Since He didn't, He holds Himself partially responsible. Therefore, He made provision to redeem the situation. So, allowing sin (NOT causing it) was part of God's plan all along.

God is everywhere isnt a Christian concept... we believe He CAN be everywhere but He does remove Himself. God is not in the presence of evil, evil exists where He is not. He is not pushed out of the way, nor is it somewhere He cannot go... but evil is destroyed in God's presence so He removes Himself... allows evil so we can make an educated choice to follow Good or evil.

GOD allows it to rain on the just and the unjust, He created all things for his purposes and his ways are not our ways. And how can anybody look at the wonders of the universe and doubt the intelligence of the Creator? Do you realize that the earth is on a perfect axis for sustaining life? I have only one thing left to say, People who dont believe in God had best be praying that they are right.

Yep... just another of the many reasons why religious belief is stupid and irrational... along with:

*  a universe in which all that exists are the earth and heaven
*  solid 'firmament' structure (the sky) separating the earth from heaven (terrarium earth)
*  talking snakes (with legs) and donkeys
*  shepherd staff turning into an asp
*  demons chased out of people and into pigs
*  friendly spirits
*  evil spirits
*  walking on water
*  multiplying loaves and fishes
*  food falling from the sky
*  conception by a ghost
*  people raising from the dead
*  the sun stopping in its tracks
*  parting seas
*  people being bodily sucked up into heaven (which, by the way, lies on the 'other side' of the sky)
*  world-wide flood that drowned the earth to a depth of 40 feet above the tallest mountain
*  creating people from dust bunnies and ribs
*  magical tree of knowledge
*  god speaking from a burning bush
*  ritual cannibalism, by eating god in the form of a cracker

God allows bad things to happen to His children as a test, to see if they will remain faithful, and to strengthen us.

It is true that Satan can do nothing to us that God does not allow, and at the same time God gives us everything we need to fight off sin. All we need to do is look to Jesus, and call on His name and the Devil will flee.

People say God created sin. Yes that's true. Sin gives us a choice. If there was no sin we'd just be robots and wouldn't have a choice whether to believe in God or not. So to give us a choice He had to create sin. But we also have the choice to do right, so if bad things happen it is because of our choices.

""Yo theists, one thing I just never got.....?""

Yo and Avast Yourself!

The God created Everything GOOD.

WE screwed it up!
I am happy you are not blaming The God for ANYTHING- simply because you can't -- You do not believe that HE exists.
